Chicken JOE

My sister Nikki has a whole bunch of chickens at her house and they are awesome. I never got to see them when they first came and were just little chicks but when I finally saw them we were introduced to whom they call- Chicken Joe! His hair is out of control and the funniest thing I've ever seen. I had my niece Allie snap a picture of him when she went to feed them and she got the perfect picture. This is him folks!

{Shots} :(

Weight: 12 lbs 2 oz. 78%
Height: 23 1/2 in. 84%
Head Circumference: 15 1/2 in. 62%
Paisley had her 2 month old Dr.'s appointment along with her shots on Friday. It was the saddest thing I've ever seen. The day started off pretty good. Kari was here and helped me get things ready for her in the morning. She was such an angel and had no idea what was coming. Doug and I took her to the pediatrician and when they gave her the shots she cried. I had never seen her cry that hard- EVER! We were able to calm her down in about 1-2 minutes but the crying she did was so hard that it completely wore her out. Kari and I took off for St. George and she slept the whole way down and for 3 more hours. Bless her little heart!! We kept her fever down with her medicine and thank heavens that helped her. I thought it was going to be a rough night but she only woke up once-when I woke her to give her the medicine. She didn't like it much and it always made her pull the cute little funny faces. I'm glad the shots are over until next time. Bless the little angel's heart. She is such a trooper. I have the best baby ever!A couple hours after her shots!

Busted!

A couple weeks ago when we were at Grandma and Grandpa's house in St. George I caught my little monkey sucking her thumb! I love it and thought it was so funny. I love how her 2 little fingers are sticking up! What a cutie! :)

Paisley's Baby Blessing

Paisley was blessed on Mothers Day-Sunday, May 8th. We blessed her here in our home among our close friends and family. It was so special to spend Mothers Day with our mothers and share Paisleys special day with her as well. I am so grateful to be married to such a wonderful man worthy to bless our child. He gave her such a beautiful blessing and adores her so much. I love the way Paisley loves him and will lay on his shoulder or smile and grin at him. He always makes her smile and laugh. It is so special to watch. They are both so lucky to have each other. Thanks to everyone for all the love and support. We are so grateful!

Cousins

A couple weeks ago {sometime in April} my sister Mandi, her husband Russ, and their Kids Madison, Dakota and Tia came up to see Baby Paisley for the first time {except Mandi..she had seen her once before}. They could not get over how adorable Paisley was. They constantly wanted to hold her and even wanted to take her home. Paisley is so lucky to have all of her little cousins who love her so much.

Madison & Paisley
This picture is my favorite
Little Tia
She claims to want to babysit! Uhhh.....think again little sleeper! :)
She constantly wants to hold the baby even when I'm feeding her. She will keep asking every 2 seconds "Can I hold her NOW? She will even cry until she gets to. She is hilarious with the baby. When she was holding Paisley I sat down by her to check up on things and she asked if I would leave. She wanted to be with the baby alone and do it all by herself. She felt more "legit" that way I guess.
I then explained, "OH NO! I have to stay here and watch just in case the baby needs me."

Uncle Russ & PJ
I didn't get a picture of Koda Bear & the baby. He doesn't want to hold her but just look at her. I think he gets a little nervous because she is so small.

When they were here Madison came and handed me this cute little note!
As if I would have circled "yes" and give away my little angel? I think NOT!! :)
*It was so adorable*
Then....the other week I was down in St. George and my little niece Joey came and gave me this picture. I just assumed she was in the other room drawing and I threw a fit and told her thank you and how I loved it. But then Dani saw the other side and explained to me what it was....THIS!!
Dani said that Joey had asked her to draw a picture of Paisley for me. It was something she had been patiently saving for me. Thanks Joey! I LOVE IT!
This next letter is from my niece Tylei! When my mom was staying with us for the first week or so when we brought Paisley home little Tylei got so sick and her parents were out of town so my mom went down to St. George to take care of her. Well, when my mom came back Ty sent this sweet letter apologizing to me for taking Grandma away from me. She felt so bad and I assured her that I wanted Grandma to be with her. She just kept saying sorry. I love you Tylei. You are so sweet! Thanks! :)
Just look how cute her little handwriting is. It's so full of personality. She always tells me how she thinks I'm such a good artist or how much she loves my handwriting. Well, the tables have turned. How cute is she! Look at that! You can tell she loves to practice and make it as cute as can be. It makes me laugh...I just love it!

This last week Dani and Conner came down with Grandpa Dean & Grandma Deb and this is the cute picture we got of Conner kissing Paisley. He always wants to talk to her on the phone and we have to explain to him that she can't really talk to him yet.

So Sweet!
Cousins are the BEST!!!

Congrats Twinner

Kari's Pinning Ceremony
Dental Hygiene Program

Paisley and I along with my parents and my sister Dani were able to attend Kari's Pinning Ceremony this last weekend. Kari has been in the Dental Hygiene Program for the last 2 years @ Dixie State College. We were not able to go to her graduation sadly :( but we do want her to know how proud of her we are! She is so beautiful, talented and so smart.I'm so lucky to be her twin sister. I love you Kari!!

Before the ceremony
Kari and Paisley
During the ceremony
Kari has an inside joke with her class that is so funny. She was begged to walk her slow motion walk with her blink and wave. If she did it she would get her TWIX. She was allowed extra time and when she did it they played "Chariots of Fire" instead of the other music. It was absolutely hilarious. She didn't want to do it but we all pleaded with her. It was so great!
Instead of my dad escorting her, he walked behind her allowing her to do her thing and he actually did it as well. It was funny and cute!
My Dad Pinning Kari

Kari and Mrs. Wilson
Mr. Wilson..
The man who played Chariots of Fire and gave Kari the Twix if she'd do her walk. He is so funny. During the ceremony when there was time to waste...He'd stand up, look at Kari and sniff the twix. We would all just laugh. I don't think the rest of the audience fully understood what was going on until after she did "the walk" and Mr. Wilson hugged her and gave her the twix. It was so cute.

Congratulations Kari! We Love you!
