BROKEN NOSE?

One Saturday night in Delta at about 10 or 11 p.m. (the weekend of Grandma's funeral) Doug and I went on another traditional basketball workout. We were having lots of fun and laughing until he went for a fake and I went for the ball. The side of his head hit smack dab in the middle of my nose. He was holding his head in pain and I was holding my nose in AGONY! I asked him if he was okay while blood was gushing from my face and then said, "Hun, I think I broke my nose!" He immediately said, "I do too!" He saw all the blood and realized he didn't have much to complain about and quickly forgot about his head. He laid my on the floor and had me put pressure. He was terrified. There was so much blood he was afraid I was going to bleed out. We called his Dad to come check it out and Doug mopped up all the blood. I was so overwhelmed. The pain, the frustration....everything came pouring out and I was bawling. You can see the cut on my nose too. These pictures are so awful but I really wanted to document this. I didn't like to put make up over it and look like I was hiding an abusive husband.

The morning after it happened
and so on.... (I feel like the pics don't do it justice to just how bad it REALLY looked even though these look bad.)
I told Doug that it is so embarrassing to go to stores where everyone stares. His complain was, "bad for you? Try being me! Everyone looks at you and then looks at me with disgust. I can't even tell them I didn't do it!!"
We've laughed about that one. When people walk by and I'm with Doug I like to say things like..."You better watch it Doug or I'll give YOU a broken nose!" Doug doesn't like those games...NOT AT ALL! He has felt so bad and has pampered me so well!

We went to Insta-care the following Monday but they told us that we have to wait for the swelling to go down. It's been a little over two weeks now and I need to go see if it's broken...which I'm sure it is. The bruises are almost gone but the bony protrusion on my nose?...yep, it's still there!
