This morning we went into COLOR COUNTRY PEDIATRICS for Paisleys 4 month check up and shots because we had to keep rescheduling due to Dr. Neilson being out of town and then us being out of town and etc.... even though she was 5 months old...not 4.
She was so tired and ready for her nap by her 10:20 appt but she hung in there. We picked up Dad from work and we were on our way. She smiled the whole way there and even in the Doctors office. They listened to her heart and checked her ears and eyes...the whole time not making a fuss or even being skwirmy. She just looked at them wondering what they were doing but not making a peep. She even smiled at them.
But then came time...she did pretty good with the liquid meds and coughed a little but we got through. Time for shots...2 quick pricks and she CRIED. As soon as I picked her up she stopped. Doug begged to hold her to comfort her so he took her from me and even with watery eyes she smiled. A little moan of sadness here and there for about 10 seconds but she was doing good. Doug gave her the bottle I had pumped just in case and she enjoyed that. When we got back in the car she was still smiling and within just minutes she was asleep with her binki. Glad shots are over.....well, until 6 more weeks. She is a little trooper and we are so proud of her. Even the Doctors commented on the mellow baby she was. We are blessed to have her.
