Dad

This post is for you Paisley. I want you always to be able to look back and read this. I hope you know how much your father loves you. He is the sweetest, best father a man could be. He treats you like gold and comments over every tender sound you make. Tonight just before he got home from work you fell asleep. I tried to hold off knowing he would be sad if he didn't get to hold you or kiss you goodnight but you were so fussy and tired. He called me on his way home just as I was walking out of your room and he was so sad you had gone down to bed already. When he got home he smiled at me as if to say 'please don't stop me. I have to see her!' and headed straight for your room. I didn't say a word and just smiled back and watched. He went right into your room and kneeled right by your crib for awhile. I wanted to take a picture but just thought I'd let him enjoy the moment. You are his everything. He worries for your safety and expresses daily how you are the most beautiful thing he has ever seen. Always be kind to him. Always tell him you love him. Always keep him close to you as your best friend and always serve him. We are so blessed to have him as our patriarch, priesthood holder and Dad. He is OURS forever and we love him!

  1. This is such a sweet post, Kaeli. I'm sure Paisley will love reading about the cute things her daddy does because he loves her so much. It reminded me of the talk by Sis. Dalton this last conference. I have no doubt that Doug is already that kind of father, and always will be.
