Grandpa Dean, Grandma Deb, Aunt Devyn and baby Skylar came to visit us! We were so excited! Paisley and I took Doug to school and went on our run. We were super motivated to hurry because our visitors would be here around noon. We waited very impatiently anticipated a knock on the door and finally they were HERE! Yay! Their flight was actually an all night long kind of thing. They left Utah @ midnight the night before and flew all through the night with a couple layovers so when they got here Thursday we gave them time to relax and rest. We took Doug his lunch where it was so exciting to see him reunite with his family. We visited for awhile in the heat and then came home for a nice long nap. This trip was so much fun for me! It was so nice to have family here and
show them all around our new world. Friday morning we all hung out and
relaxed. We took Doug his lunch and then walked to the law bookstore
where we all got some Ave Maria gear and showed them a little around campus :) After lunch the gals hit the
mall. Grandma Deb insisted on taking me birthday shopping which was so
sweet. We all laughed and shopped until we dropped and let Paisley take a little ride.
When we got home we
put the girls in their Halloween outfits Grandma bought them and hit Red
Lobster. It's a must for Doug when our parents come! :) It was
delicious! I think Paisley was a little unsure of Sky at first but then ended up LOVING her!
Paisley loves watching the Lobsters
Saturday rolled around and we hit the beach. Doug of course had to study so we went without him but we still had fun. We all came home with sore feet from digging our feet in the sand to find awesome seashells. And by awesome...I mean the kind where crabs live in them so we had to come home and boil them out. Yuck! Thank heavens Grandma is tough...we made her do it. The water was so warm. We could have stayed all day! Deb and Dean didn't wear their swimsuits but pretty much acted like they did. :) Deb was drenched in a matter of minutes after battling those waves. Haha! {Dev didn't get to swim much. #1 she wanted to keep Sky out of the sun so she wouldn't get a sunburn and #2....she was afraid of the animals and fish in the water. :) Love ya Dev!!}
We came home, showered and waited for Doug to come home from the library. When he got home his parents took us to Best Buy where they bought Doug a very nice birthday gift. An iphone! His phone was almost done for so this was nice! He was so excited. We then hit the grocery store for some Spaghetti for dinner and Ribs for Sunday Dinner. Yum!
Fun Aunt Dev {gotta love her}
We came home, ate dinner and got in our pj's. This is Paisley putting diapers on her stuffed animals. :)
We all laughed @ Dean because he thinks he is a lot bigger than he is. He bought these Ave Maria sweat pants in which Deb & Devyn could each take a let. They tried them on and we all had a good laugh. Okay we laughed harder after we saw the pictures. I wonder why! WHOOPS!We stayed up WAY to late laughing and carrying on. We even got a knock on the door which I'm sure was the neighbors. Sorry!
Guilty! We missed church. We all slept in! We had an eventful Sunday though- I'm not going to lie. Doug and his dad did a little golfing and the girls went to lunch @ Panera Bread. We hit a few stores and met the boys at the golfing store. Paisley is missing
her diapers in these because her shorts were wet. Paisley loved the
putting green. She was so mad when we had to take away the golf balls
when it was time to leave. So sad!
Later Sunday evening we went down to the Pier but missed the sunset. We
still had fun though and it was absolutely beautiful!
I love this picture of Grandpa Dean!
Paisley tried on her costume for the first time that Grandma & Grandpa bought her for Halloween!
On Monday we all kind of just hung out again. Doug took the day off of school because luckily some classes were canceled and he was able to. Anyways, we had a good day. We hit Costco where Grandma and Grandma once again bought Paisley more toys. :) They showed her this big bear and she wouldn't allow us to put it back.....so....we brought the bear home. We are in love with it. So cuddly!
Grandma reading to Paisley Tuesday morning before they left! It was breaking my heart!
They left around 10:00 on Tuesday morning and needless to say it was SO SAD! I cried and cried. I had to come in and call my mom to comfort me. I can honestly say that I have the best in laws in the world. I love them like my own. I am always so excited to spend time with them and always sad to leave them. I want to tell them thank you so much for coming to see us and loving me like your own child. You are incredibly good to me and I couldn't be more grateful. I love you!
