We were at our good friend Sam's house and the kiddos were playing and we were chatting! Well, Paisley kept making this noise (the donkey one) and pointing at something. She wanted me to come check it out. She kept pointing and was being noisy. Finally I went to check it out. In the toy room where there were a million fun toys I knew EXACTLY what she was pointing at and why! There were tons of other toys in the general area but I knew it was this horse. She was afraid of it. I KNOW it! I know in her head she was thinking...."look mom there is like some little rat staring at me".... It wasn't a fun colorful pony looking horse and in the corner it did look a little squeamish and rat like! Hahaha!!!
I went and picked it up and she wanted nothing to do with it. She took a few steps backward heading the other direction. I didn't want to scare her with it but wanted to show her what it was. I took it kind of over by her and she shook her head as if to say, "no thanks-don't bring that thing by me."
Finally I showed her it had hair and that it was just a little horse. She eventually warmed up to it!
