Hitting the ROAD

One night after packing, Paisley was asleep and Doug and I were headed to bed but we were so miserable and hot that there was no way we were going to be able to sleep. The AC at our house wasn't working so at about 11 pm we took off to find a cheap motel. The next day Dean and Deb came down to Cedar to spend the night with us and help us load our truck before we took off. Our little house was a mess with all the boxes loaded and no where to sit or sleep, not to mention the A.C. problem again so we spent another night at a Hotel. We had fun swimming and eating Pizza. Mike and Michelle came with us and it was a fun little last hurray!

The next morning Doug picked up the Budget truck and we got to work. Dean, Deb, Mike, Michelle, Doug and I worked hard all day packing the truck full and making sure the house was clean. Little Blake came along and helped the boys and Paisley took a nap on the bare family room floor and sweated like a little pig!
Later that night we all went to eat along with Duffy and Brynlee. After that we all said our goodbyes. It was aweful. I don't want to have to do that again. It broke my heart to see my inlaws so sad and yet being so strong at the same time. I will never forget them hugging and kissing us and then turning their heads as they walked away. My heart sunk!

After dinner Doug and I went back to our house to grab a couple small things! Before we left I snapped this last shot! :( We are going to miss the house, our neighbors, our ward and our landlords!
Doug and I headed for St. George for the night and then Doug and my Dad took off friday morning...destination Lousiana. We were worried Paisley wouldn't make such a long drive and this way my mom could have a few more days to recover from her surgery. She was so good to commit to come help and was such a trooper! She had the best attitude after having surgery and I'm sure she wanted to be home! We flew out Monday night and met Doug and my Dad in Lousiana! We arrived there late that night! Our plane flew into New Orleans so we drove about 30 minutes to Donaldsonville where we would stay with my Dads cousin and wife....

Dad and Doug had the long route. The first night- Friday they stayed in Albuquerque New Mexico and then on Saturday- Dallas Texas. Finally they arrived in Lousianna on Sunday. They spent a night there without us and picked us up on Monday night!
